“Finasteride has been a topic of interest for many, many years and we are delighted to find it in this study,” he added. “This is the first study to examine the effects of finasteride on male pattern baldness and on the growth of the hair on the crown of the head, and the first to use a drug that targets the underlying cause of hair loss.”
The findings, published in the journalare one of the first in a new series of clinical trials to investigate the effect of finasteride on the hair loss process.
